Frequently Asked Questions
Answers to the most common questions about working with Devslove.
Do you do month-to-month contracts or fixed-length contracts?
We only do month-to-month contracts. We believe in continually earning your business and in strong partnerships. If you don't feel like we are adding enough value, or a good fit, while we never like seeing a (good) partner go, we understand.
Is there a minimum ad spend requirement?
Yes. We generally work best with clients who have a minimum monthly ad spend of $3,000. This ensures there's enough budget to generate meaningful data and results. That said, every business is different. Reach out and we'll give you an honest answer about whether paid ads make sense for your budget.
Do you help businesses with less than $3k / month in budget?
It depends on the situation. If your budget is under $3,000/month, we may not be the best fit for ongoing management, but we do offer one-time consultations and account audits that can help you get more out of a smaller budget. We'll always be upfront about whether we think we can deliver results at your spend level.
Do you do SEO or Facebook/IG paid ads?
No. We are specialists in Google Ads, Microsoft Ads, LinkedIn Ads, and YouTube/video advertising for lead generation. We don't do SEO or Meta (Facebook/Instagram) paid ads. We believe in staying deeply focused on what we're best at rather than being a jack of all trades.
Do you take on new e-commerce clients?
No, we do not take on e-commerce clients. Our entire focus is on lead generation for services-based businesses. E-commerce advertising is a completely different discipline, and we'd rather point you to an agency that specializes in it than do a mediocre job ourselves.
Why don't you take on e-commerce clients?
E-commerce and lead generation are fundamentally different. The strategies, metrics, campaign structures, and optimization approaches are completely different. We've built our entire practice around lead gen: understanding sales pipelines, lead quality, and how to turn clicks into qualified conversations. Trying to do both would dilute our expertise.
Do you have specific types of clients you work with?
Yes. We work with the industries you'll find across our site: B2B (SaaS and services), home services, local services like dental clinics, law firms, and counselling practices, logistics, multi-location retail, and vacation rentals. What they all share is the goal: qualified leads, booked jobs and appointments, foot traffic, or direct bookings, not e-commerce carts.
Do you take clients from all industries?
We work across a wide range of industries, but we're selective. We only take on clients where we believe we can make a real impact. If we don't think we can win for you, whether it's due to industry fit, budget, or competitive landscape, we'll tell you upfront and try to point you in the right direction.
How many new clients do you take on?
A limited number each quarter, on purpose. Senior strategy on every account only works when we protect the time to deliver it. Capping new intake is how we keep results strong for the clients we already have and give every new account the attention a proper launch takes. If we're at capacity, we'll tell you and reserve a spot for the next opening.
Do you work with US-based companies?
Yes. We work with clients across the United States and Canada. We're based in Ontario and work remotely with clients in both countries, across every time zone.
How do your fees work?
A flat-rate monthly management fee based on scope, not a percentage of your ad spend. That means you can scale your budget without your fee automatically scaling with it. Full details are on our pricing page, and consult fees credit toward your first month of management.
Is your fee separate from our ad spend?
Yes. Your ad spend goes directly to Google or Microsoft on your own billing, in accounts you own. Our management fee is separate. We never mark up media, and you always see exactly what the platforms charged.
How long until we see results?
We ask every new client to plan on a 90-day runway. That's what it takes to gather real data, learn from it, and optimize against it. Expect early signals in the first 30 days, meaningful improvement by 60 to 90 days, and compounding gains after that. You're still month-to-month on paper; the 90 days is about honest expectations, not a lock-in. If your account already has history, we can often move faster because the data is already there.
Do you guarantee results?
No, and we'd encourage you to be skeptical of any agency that does. Too many variables sit outside an agency's control: your market, your offer, your sales follow-up. What we do guarantee is senior attention, honest reporting, and month-to-month terms, so if we're not delivering, you're never locked in. Our average client relationship runs over two and a half years, and that's the proof we point to.
Will you rebuild our account from scratch?
Only if it needs it. We start by auditing what you have. Campaigns that are working get protected, and history that helps the algorithms stays. We rebuild where structure or tracking is genuinely broken, not to make the account look like ours. Teardowns for the sake of it destroy data you already paid for.
What does getting started look like?
Onboarding is straightforward: a kickoff call to align on goals, access to your accounts and analytics, then tracking checks and build-out. Most new engagements have campaigns live or restructured within the first two to three weeks, depending on the state of the account and how fast approvals move on your side.
Do you offer one-time consults?
Yes. We offer one-time Google Ads consulting sessions: a collaborative, real-time working session via Zoom screenshare where we get into your account together and solve problems on the spot. This is ideal if you have an in-house team that needs a second set of eyes or if you want to pressure-test your current strategy.
Can you work alongside our in-house team?
Yes. Some clients hand us the keys; others have an in-house marketer and want senior paid media expertise alongside them. We're comfortable in either seat, and our consulting sessions are built exactly for teams that want expert eyes without full management.
Do you offer account audits?
Yes. We offer account audits where we do a deep dive into your existing Google Ads or Microsoft Ads account, plus the GA4 setup behind it. We will identify wasted spend, missed opportunities, structural issues, and provide actionable recommendations. The free audit is the easiest place to start.
Can you fix our conversion tracking?
Yes. Broken tracking is one of the most common problems we find: double-counted conversions, missing events, GA4 and ad platform numbers that don't match. We set up and repair conversion tracking through GA4 and Google Tag Manager as part of management, because optimizing against bad data is worse than not optimizing at all.
What is Vantage?
Vantage is our in-house optimization platform, and it runs on every account we manage. It analyzes the data daily, flags wasted spend and issues for a senior marketer to act on, separates real leads from soft conversions so reporting never inflates your pipeline, and measures traffic from AI tools like ChatGPT that most dashboards can't see. Vantage flags, a human decides.
Do you protect against click fraud?
Yes. We built our own click fraud protection in-house. It watches the clicks on your ads for bots, competitors, and repeat offenders, and blocks those sources so your budget goes to real potential customers. It runs quietly in the background on client accounts, with no third-party subscription required.
Can you measure traffic from ChatGPT and other AI tools?
Yes. Buyers increasingly research through ChatGPT, Perplexity, Gemini, and Copilot, and most analytics setups miss that traffic or lump it into other buckets. We measure those visitors and what they do after they land, measured, not modeled, so you can see whether AI search is starting to send you business.
Do you charge a set-up fee?
No. We do not charge a set-up fee. We believe the setup is part of the value we deliver as your partner. You shouldn't have to pay extra just to get started.
Will we own & have access to the ad accounts?
Yes, absolutely. You own the ad accounts, always. We work inside your accounts, and you have full access at all times. If we ever part ways, you keep everything: the accounts, the data, the campaigns, and all the history. We never hold accounts hostage.
If we choose to leave, what's your offboarding process?
We make it easy. Since you own the ad accounts, there's no complicated transfer process. We'll remove our access, provide a full handoff document with notes on campaign structure, strategy, and performance, and make sure your team or new agency has everything they need to pick up where we left off. No hard feelings, no holdups.
Do you provide reporting?
Yes. We provide transparent, regular reporting on campaign performance. Our reports focus on the metrics that actually matter to your business: qualified leads, cost per lead, pipeline impact, and conversion rates. Not vanity metrics like impressions and clicks. We tailor our reporting to what's most useful for your team.
Do you offer monthly meetings?
Yes. We hold regular monthly meetings to review performance, discuss strategy, and plan next steps. Depending on the engagement, we may also do more frequent check-ins. We believe strong communication is the foundation of a good partnership, and we want to make sure you always know what's happening in your campaigns.
How do you use AI?
AI analyzes the data behind your campaigns at a depth and frequency a human-only team can't match: pressure-testing ideas, researching your market, and flagging patterns worth acting on. What it never does is make the calls. A senior marketer reviews what AI surfaces, decides what gets tested, and signs off on every change. We're not an AI agency; we're AI-forward marketers, an experienced team using the best tools available.
Who will actually work on our account?
Our team, not a rotating cast. You work directly with our founder, a senior strategist with 10 years in paid media, on strategy and every call. An account execution specialist keeps your campaigns optimized against the plan, and a CRO specialist makes sure your creative and landing pages convert. Meet everyone on our About page. You will never be handed off to a junior you have never met.
Do you build landing pages?
Yes. We design and build landing pages, and we optimize them to convert. Our CRO specialist makes sure the pages your ads send traffic to look right, match your brand, and turn clicks into leads. Where it makes more sense to work with your existing site or team, we'll do that instead and recommend whichever route converts best.
What are your playbooks?
Every industry we serve has an established playbook: the full-funnel campaign system we run, showing how awareness, retargeting, and capture campaigns fit together to turn ad spend into revenue. You can see them all on our Playbooks page, and each industry page shows how we apply it.
